Enhanced Calling is a first-generation service based on new technology that will improve over time. While this new technology enables exciting new features, U.S. Cellular® is committed to providing you with the highest quality calling experience.
As we continue to rollout this new technology we closely monitor our Voice and Data service levels to ensure the highest quality. Since upgrading your service to include our new Enhanced Calling features we have noticed you might not be having an optimal network experience.
To make sure your network experience is the best possible we have proactively disabled your Enhanced Calling features. This change has been made automatically and no action is required by you. Going forward this change should ensure you experience U.S. Cellular’s highest network quality.

Enhanced Calling is a suite of advanced cellular services enabled by Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology. VoLTE Technology optimizes the network by delivering voice calls & SMS traffic over the U.S. Cellular 4G LTE data network instead of the traditional voice 2G/3G network, delivered through our Enhanced Calling-capable phones when connected to the Enhanced Calling network. No. Disabling Enhanced Calling capabilities only removes the Enhanced Calling functionality; all other current services and plan features will not be impacted. There is no additional charge for Enhanced Calling features. We anticipate this change will improve your overall network quality experience.
Yes. If you have been enjoying a great Enhanced Calling and network experience please call 611 from your mobile phone to speak with customer service and request reactivating the Enhanced Calling features.
