UScellular® is now part of T-Mobile®—bringing you a stronger network, more value, and the support you trust. For now, your prepaid service remains active as we prepare for upcoming changes.

General Questions

    • As we continue bringing the T-Mobile experience to more customers, some changes are coming to UScellular Prepaid service.
    • UScellular Prepaid service will end this summer, but T-Mobile will continue to offer prepaid plans that match or exceed the value of UScellular Prepaid plans.
    • To avoid any service interruption, you’ll need to move your account to T-Mobile or another provider before service ends.
    • Important dates to know:
      • April 30, 2026: Last day to make any changes to your UScellular Prepaid account
      • June 2026: Last month to refill your UScellular Prepaid account
      • June 15, 2026: Final date Auto Pay will process
      • Summer 2026: UScellular Prepaid service will be discontinued
    • We recommend making the switch soon so you can stay connected without disruption.
    • The good news is T-Mobile offers plans that match or exceed the value of your current service, with more flexibility and added benefits.
      • Stay with Prepaid:
        • Visit prepaid.t-mobile.com/welcome-uscellular to find a plan that fits your needs. Most devices are compatible with the T-Mobile network, so you may be able to keep your current phone. You can also keep your existing number when you switch.
      • Move to Postpaid
        • Visit t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans to find a plan that unlocks additional features, device options, and our available promotions.

    • Your current UScellular Prepaid service will end this summer.

    • You must make your switch before your service ends in summer 2026 to avoid any interruption. You can make the switch at any time—even today.

    • You can also choose to switch to another carrier if you prefer.
    • We’ll keep you informed every step of the way. UScellular is sending updates and reminders by text message and email, so you’ll have time to review your options and choose the plan that’s right for you.

    • Yes. Most devices recently purchased or upgraded through UScellular will continue to work if you switch to T-Mobile. We recommend keeping your device software up to date, as updates may support ongoing enhancements.
    • If an upgrade is needed to ensure the best experience, we’d be happy to help. You can visit a nearby store to explore the latest devices and take advantage of current promotions to find the option that works best for you.
    • Yes, to keep your current phone number, you’ll just need to transfer (port) to T-Mobile or another carrier before your UScellular Prepaid service is interrupted.
    • To transfer (port) your number to T-Mobile or another carrier, you’ll need a few simple details from your UScellular account:
    • Your UScellular account number
    • A port-out PIN, which can be provided by UScellular Customer Care or an associate (this PIN is valid for 7 days)
    • A valid, unique email address
    • If you’re unsure how to get any of this information, you can visit a UScellular store or contact Customer Care, and they’ll be happy to help you get everything you need for a smooth transfer.
    • T-Mobile offers a variety of prepaid plans designed to fit different needs and budgets, including options with similar or even greater value than your current plan. The best match will depend on how much data you use, your budget, and any features that are important to you.
    • You can explore available plans online or visit a store, where a representative can help you find the closest match based on your current usage.
    • No, as a valued UScellular Prepaid customer, device connection charges will be waived if you switch to a T-Mobile Prepaid plan.
    • Yes — you can continue to use any UScellular refill card you’ve already purchased to add service to your account. After using your refill for your next month of service, we recommend switching to a T-Mobile prepaid plan to continue your service without interruption.

Prepaid Account Management

    • You can still check your account balance and pay online.
    • As we continue bringing the T-Mobile experience to more customers, some UScellular account management features will become unavailable:
      • Starting May 1, 2026: Changes can no longer be made to your UScellular Prepaid account
      • June 15, 2026: Final day to refill your UScellular Prepaid account
    • To stay connected, we recommend moving your service before your current service ends.

    • For assistance, check the store locator for closest locations that can service your UScellular account. Our teams are here to help and support you every step of the way.
    • June 15, 2026 is the final day to replenish your UScellular Prepaid account. After this date, you won’t be able to add funds or another month of service.  Until then, your service renews on your monthly anniversary date, typically the same date each month based on when you activated your account.
    • To avoid any interruption, we recommend switching now or before your next renewal date.     • June 15, 2026 is the final day to refill your UScellular Prepaid account. After this date, you won’t be able to add funds or another month of service. Until then, you can refill your account in several easy ways:
    • Quick Refill: Make a one-time payment without logging in
    • Prepaid My Account: Log in to make a payment or set up Auto Pay
    • By phone: Dial 233 from your device or call 888-944-9400 to refill using a credit, debit, or refill card
    • In store: Visit a UScellular store or authorized retailer to pay with cash or purchase a refill card
    • To avoid any interruption, we recommend switching now or before your next renewal date.     • June 15, 2026 is the final date Auto Pay will process for UScellular Prepaid accounts. After this date, automatic payments will stop.
    • Until then, you can set up Auto Pay by logging in to Prepaid My Account and following these steps:
      • Select Set Up Auto Pay
      • Enter your payment amount, payment method, and payment date
      • Select Confirm Auto Pay

    • Every UScellular prepaid customer is eligible for Grace Period - a feature that gives you an extra 3 days from your anniversary date to replenish funds and keep your account active. You will receive an SMS once your account has entered grace period. As long as you replenish your account within Grace Period, your anniversary date will stay the same, your account will remain active, and you will continue to qualify for grace period every month.
    • All UScellular Prepaid customers start with a 3-day Grace Period. Extended Grace Period applies after three months of Prepaid service, when an extra two days of Grace Period are automatically applied to your account. So, you'll have a total of five days from your anniversary date to replenish funds and keep your account active. After you've been on a Prepaid plan for 12 months, an additional two days will be added, for a total of seven days.

      There are no fees or extra set up required to activate extended Grace Period. As long as you replenish your account within your designated Grace Period, your anniversary date will stay the same and your account will remain active.
    • If you forget to refill your account, or have insufficient funds on your anniversary date, your account will automatically go into 3 day grace period. If you do not replenish funds within the Grace Period, your account will go into suspend, and your anniversary date will be changed. Need to replenish your funds?     • For plans with data limits, we make it easy for you to keep tabs on your data usage. That's why every device is set to receive automatic text alerts from UScellular when you've reached 75% and 100% of your data plan limit. Want to see how much data you've used this month? Simply log in to Prepaid My Account.

Prepaid Plans

    • Starting May 1, 2026, you can no longer change plans or add lines to your UScellular Prepaid account.
    • If you’d like to make changes or add-a-line to your account, you’ll need to move to a T-Mobile Prepaid plan or another carrier. T-Mobile offers options that match or exceed the value of your current service, with more flexibility and added benefits.

    • There are no hidden fees included in prepaid plans. You pay the price of your plan plus tax. Normal taxes will apply for your wireless service based on the address on the account, just as they would for your existing other utilities such as electricity.
    • Visit the plans page to see additional features included in your plan tier, or view your plan details in My Account.

Prepaid Device

    • Starting May 1, 2026, you can no longer upgrade your device on your UScellular Prepaid account.
    • If you’d like to make changes or upgrade your device, you’ll need to move to a T-Mobile Prepaid plan or another carrier. T-Mobile offers options that match or exceed the value of your current service, with more flexibility and added benefits.

Prepaid Rewards App

    • No, there is no cost when you use the Prepaid Rewards app or when you redeem points. The refill cards are awarded based on points you earn by doing things you already do, with no additional cost to you.
    • UScellular Prepaid customers on Android devices can earn points on the app.
    • The Prepaid Rewards app will discontinue on 6/1/26 so you will only be able to earn points until 4/30/26. The last day to redeem points you have earned is 5/31/26.
    • No, to manage your account, please download the Prepaid My Account App.

Prepaid Account Lock

    • An Account PIN (personal identification number) is a unique number that identifies you as an account holder when contacting Customer Service.
    • You can either call us or visit a store. Please remember, when in-store you'll need a government-issued ID.
    • Account Lock is our free security feature that helps protect against unauthorized SIM changes and port-out requests (number transfers) on your account. Account Lock safeguards your SIM card from any unauthorized changes and fraudulent SIM swaps.
    • You can activate Account Lock by logging in to My Account. Under the Profile Settings tab, you'll see the option for Account Lock.
    • You can also activate it by contacting Customer Service. Contact us or visit us in-store.
    • To remove the lock on your account, please contact Customer Service. Contact us or visit us in-store.
