Dear UScellular Customer,

At UScellular®, our goal is to keep you connected to the people who matter most. So, we’re writing today about nationwide industry changes that will affect the 3G Home Phone line indicated on the top-right corner of this letter.

If you’re receiving this letter, you or someone on your account has a Home Phone using our 3G service. While the 3G network has met customer needs for years, it is now being retired and replaced by 4G and 5G networks.

Starting now, your service could be affected in the following ways:

  • No placing or receiving calls and texts: Depending on where you are located, your phone may simply stop working and you will not be able to make or receive calls.
  • No 911 or other emergency calls when you are in certain areas: With the potential loss of service, you may not be able to call 911.

  • Below is our plan to keep you from experiencing any of these service interruptions.

We know that uninterrupted service is non-negotiable for you. To make sure you stay connected 24/7, we’re sending you a new Home Phone, absolutely free, with no plan change required and no activation fee. (This is the device that you connect your traditional corded or cordless telephone to.)

Within the next week, you will receive your new Home Phone at this mailing address. To activate your phone, simply dial 800-450-0429 before 12/01/2022. Until you activate this new device, we will keep service running to your current device. But remember — as more 3G towers shut down, your phone will lose functionality and you will eventually have to replace it to enjoy uninterrupted service, so we recommend you activate the new device as soon as possible.

This will ensure you’re covered – before your current phone stops working. If you have questions, or need help setting up your new Home Phone, please don’t hesitate to call 800-450-0429. We’re standing by to give you all the assistance you need.

And thank you for being a part of the UScellular community. You’re not just a customer – you’re a neighbor too.

    Sincerely,

    Your UScellular Customer Service Team
